Europe Area Counselor
The Europe Area Counselor leads and serves LHM ministry centers in Canada, Europe, and Australia, in reaching out to the unchurched and connecting them to local congregations. This is accomplished through planning, supervision, coaching, and evaluating with local boards and directors of international ministry centers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, expanding, and promoting high-impact programming and focusing distribution to elicit maximum responses and connections.
  • Working with international ministry centers to assure effective leadership and organizational connectivity, including Advocacy Groups (boards) with membership composed of influential leaders who want to share Jesus with the unchurched.
  • Leading directors via example, planning, and training.
  • Participating, as needed, in the program planning, budget planning, directors’ staff training, ministry interpretation, and development activities.
  • Conducting and facilitating research, planning, training, accountability, and evaluation.
  • Communicating regularly and effectively with ministry center staff personnel, and conducting field visitations with the Europe / Other area leadership to foster, encourage, and sustain high morale, motivation, and progress.
  • Various other responsibilities associated with insuring the overall success of ministry centers in reaching the lost with the Gospel of Christ (as listed in full job description).
Qualifications:
Must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, plus professional experience in electronic media, and / or strong organizational and management experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, with a demonstrated capability to coordinate teams from a distance.

Should have thorough knowledge of the Christian faith and be an active member of a Lutheran congregation. He / she must be willing to work in the St. Louis, Missouri, area, with appropriate travel time spent in the region of about two and one-half (2-1/2) months per year. Overseas work experience is preferred, but at minimum, extensive experience in cross-cultural communication is required.
